How does a dog earn a merit with its championship or a medal with it grand championship? I see some with it, but I have not seen any posts that talk about why only some dogs get them and others do not. Any insight to this would be great, I'm just curious!

Dam Merits: www.showdog.com/help/topic.aspx?id=82
Sire Merits: www.showdog.com/help/topic.aspx?id=78
Show Titles: www.showdog.com/help/topic.aspx?id=94
Show Merits: I can't find the article, but I know 100 GC points is a bronze merit. I think 200 is silver and 300 is gold. I could be very wrong though.

I can't find the article either, but I think you have the GCH points correct.

Platinum GCH is 400 points.

Did you know?
At least two wins must be a set of three or more points ("majors"), under two different judges; at least one additional win under a third judge is also required.
