What does the asterisk (star) at the end of a dogs name, in the pedigree mean?

It means that it occurs more than once in a dog's pedigree. Like, this dog has the same grandsire, which means that the grandsire's parents are also in there twice...

It can be more than twice, though...I've seen up to 4 times.

Hope that helps!
