Sorry, I've been a little absent lately happy :)

It's nice to see everyone's updates! Especially those about wins & new litters.

I am very sorry to see that Dragonuv is leaving, for it is a great loss to our breed. However, best of luck Dragonuv!

I'm glad that our little community is as friendly as it is. It's not the same in other breeds and this is one of the reasons that I enjoy Keeshonds so much.

As for this kennel, lately I have been focusing on breeding. I have 6 or so litters due soon which is great, and I have a few promising younger dogs soon to be shown.

I think the lack of chatter in the majority of other breeds is why I havent found a second breed that I can make stick. LOL.

Im still annoyed that Im still not having a ton of breeding success, but I have 5 litters due between tomorrow and Saturday, so hopefully I'll finally have some luck.

I love how friendly we are as a group! Makes the breed super enjoyable! I haven't been super active in the breed lately, I was waiting for my next brood to hit 30 days but she is now breeding age and already expecting her first litter. So hopefully will be much more active in the ring!

For having a bunch of people who "arent as active in the ring" lately, we're still having 1-2 majors a night. I approve happy :)

Gypsy Wind and Spyte - I have my fingers crossed for both of you.

I am trying to resist temptation to breed Butterfly, would like to get her GRCH first. But I am itching to get her pregnant as well .... LOL

Gypsy Wind -- looking forward to your "50 champ milestone" happy :)

Ty. ANd i hear you, its so hard to wait! I actually did get a litter out of Wild Card when she was close. Showed her 1-3 days into her pregnancy and then again 5 days after. Didnt cause much of a delay. I didnt have the patience to wait like you! happy :)

I can't wait for this litter to drop tomorrow....I'm so impatient lol

Of course then I went on a breeding frenzy and have 5 litters due. One tomorrow (Keeshonds), one Tuesday (Wolfhound), and 3 on Friday (Glen, Glen, Wolfhound)

Something must be wrong with me.....

Pretty good! Got a 94.55 boy a 94.50 boy and a 94.45 boy. Gonna sell the 94.45 guy. Debating on whether I should sell one of the other boys....I don't have the sessions in either of my account right now and I have 3 more litters due this week.

Hello everyone. How nice to see an active breed forum. happy :)
I have just started in this breed with some of Dragunov's dogs and had my first litter. Thank you to
CH WINTERHEARTS LIVIN IT UP. I am very pleased for such a nice litter and lovely stud.
I do have room in this kennel for some more sessions if someone needs a dog sessioned for them.
I do have a question for people. Is there any point in keeping dogs with low SS even tho they have very good traits otherwise, which would bring them up 2 or more in SOP if they were at 20SS? (going by .5 per point)
The reason I am asking is that I have just recently come back to the game. I left it before the decimals came into effect so having to get used to the decimals and COI. lol

We actually talked about that earlier in the thread, like page 3 or 4 I think. My feeling is no, it's not worth it. It'll just pass the genetic weakeness to any offspring and is no good for showing, so whats the point?

Big welcome to the breed btw! Keeshond breeders are the chattiest and friendliest bunch Ive found in the game. Please please please let any of us know if you need a hand or to buy stock or anything. happy :)

Did you know?
A specialty show may be regional or national. A "Best in Show" win at a national specialty show is tremendously prestigious, indicating that the winning dog or bitch triumphed at a contest which attracted entries from the most serious fanciers of that breed in the country or continent. Some specialty shows attract international entries.
