Not a lot new here. Waiting on litters to arrive & focusing on showing a few younger dogs. House Of Cards did take BIS at the specialty, which was an unexpected win Analeyn |

Yes, your two young bitches are proving a challenge to beat! Theyre pretty though, I'll give you that. |

And the bitch I have on the list was accidental. I've removed her from sale, but the sale list has not yet updated. (I hate how it doesnt update when a dog sells or gets removed from sale) |

Ok all. Need opinions. I have this boy almost fully sessioned. Do you think he will be competitive enough? www.showdog.com/dog.aspx?id=13499502 |

Perhaps with a bit of work, he might be. However it's difficult to determine because the number of young males showing is very low. He would most likely have to beat the class bitches to attain enough points, and that would mean that he would compete against 94.50/94.40/94.30 keeshonds with better traits. Realistically, it might be a challenge. Analeyn |

I think it will be a challenge, but probably do able, if you dont mind that it will take some time. As Analeyn said, there arent many young males showing right now. (Im sessioning one though). I did just finish Ardghal V Zwolfjager, who has the same SOP, 10 days ago, so it's possible. BUT at the time, there were more males showing than females. It was definitely not a "finish in 3-5 shows straight" sorta deal though. I DID also get a BiG with him too. What i would do is look for shows with other young males i know he could beat, they wont be common but it will happen, and also enter shows with judges who like handlers when you can - I find it gives you just the tiniest extra edge. |

this post has been edited 1 time(s) I am thinking of sponsoring a Keeshond specialty show whenever my finances allow - which will only be occasionally. It will have to be random judges as my account balance won't go as far as selecting judges. $5.00 entry. Would this be welcome to the Keesie breeding community? If breeders would like the occasional show I shall go ahead with setting one up. If so, what would everyone prefer, a handler show or handler free show? The majority rules. ----- Last edited by Aussiewolfsister on 10/26/2014 4:41:21 AM |

I would definitely welcome a specialty show I suggest a no handler show - it makes it fairer for dogs to compete on their traits, as opposed to which kennel enters their dogs first Analeyn |

Specialties would be nice! I sponsored two when I first came back, but have been rather poor as of late. I have no preference for handler vs handler free, I think they both have positive points to them. Thanks for offering to sponsor! |

Would love the opportunity for a specialty. I don't really have much of a preference for handler or no handler. |

this post has been edited 1 time(s) Ty! Only need 9 more GCH points, the other requirements are done. If she manages, she'll be my first grand champ. They werent part of the game when I was playing before. ----- Last edited by Gypsy Wind Kennels on 10/27/2014 5:27:24 PM |

Whoooooo!! Two 94.95 boys dropped tonight! www.showdog.com/dog.aspx?id=13550552 www.showdog.com/dog.aspx?id=13550559 Dams of both litters are littermates. Top half of the pedigree is very similar too. 6/8 dogs are the same by the 3rd generation. Interesting to see how that works out! Jessica |

Thank you all very much for entering my first show. When I get my funds up, in a while, I shall run another one. Don't know what happened, maybe someone can explain. I entered Madame Butterfly in both my Keeshond show and an all-breeds show, but she seems to have dropped out of the Keeshond show somehow. She was still in it 12 hours ago when I checked. I notice that other dogs were in both, so don't know what happened to my girl's entry. |
