Sorry to have to ask, but I couldn't find it through the search.

What is the safest max coi? I thought it was 15%?
My next breeding is running at 14.36%

Thanks

yep - 15.00% is the max happy :)

Edited to add:

From the Help Centre;

"The ideal COI for your dogs is anything under 15%. Above this level of inbreeding, an impact on the quality of the dog is felt heavily and increases exponentially as the inbreeding increases. COIs under 15% have no negative impact on dogs."

I agree with Will. I've champed dogs up to about 19.5%

That said, the dogs weren't spectacular, but they weren't terrible- they were finishable though. And it tends to be one good pup and some ugly ones in the litter.

It can be useful though if you are trying to fix a certain trait through inbreeding, as the resulting pup does NOT pass on it's COI, but does pass on those doubled traits. happy :)
