they get fed at a certain time you just have to pick which food they should eat, but you don't have to do it every day you just set it .

This game does not require religious daily attention.

As stated above, they are fed automatically (usually). You do need to pay attention to the ages to change the food when appropriate (at 14 days puppy to adult).

You can enter shows several days ahead and just check in to see how they did and re-enter for the next few days.

When you breed, you need to check in when the pups are born (6 days later) to evaluate and cull the litters to avoid paying to feed those you won't keep.

That said, there is now a login bonus that depends on signing in on consecutive days. If you miss a day you have to start over. It maxes at $50 game dollars per day so it pays to at least sign in every day.

Pick your breed, then check the for sale list and/or contact established breeders to get your first dog.

You might want to look at the "Dogs For Sale" page in your breeds, or post in the "Dogs Wanted" forum to let people know that you are looking for show quality puppies in a certain breed. Unfortunately, the free "starter" dogs will not do well in shows-their traits are overall very low compared to most dogs in the game.

Most of the breeders here are very happy to help out new folks, we know the game takes a little while to get used to!

So,these are not your usual virtual pets or anything? Do they ever get sick? If so, is there a vet you can take them to,or what?

It's more a mature strategy based game then a younger virtual pet game.

So you won't actually get to play with the dogs and interact with them like you would on something like the Nintendo dogs games.

So, these dogs can basically take care of themselves? Well, that's handy. It's that much less work. This game was obviously made more for grown-ups than little kiddies,eh?
