I received $286 for winning Best in Specialty Show at the May 2015 Otterhound Nationals - way to go!!

(Not sure how this compares with winning a popular breed specialty - anyone feel like letting on how much they won for BIS?)

Congrats!

You can see how much they would win by looking at entries over the past 30 days.
For example,
www.showdog.com/dogbreed/Otterhound.aspx
Entries > 286
So, $286 (as you won)

#1 breed:
www.showdog.com/dogbreed/Alaskan%20Malamute.aspx
Entries > 2,618
So, $2,618 happy :)

eta the days bit

oops found a bug....

it says on the page you posted a link to

Showdog.com Breed Since Thursday, June 05, 2003

- should it read since April ?, 2015?

No, that date is when the breed was added to the website. For example, a newer breed:

www.showdog.com/dogbreed/Rat%20Terrier.aspx
Showdog.com Breed Since Monday, October 01, 2007

Along with Pumik, etc., during that year.

Did you know?
Judges are generally certified to judge one or several breeds, usually in the same group, but a few "all-breed" judges have the training and experience to judge large numbers of breeds.
