Celebrating the efforts of a great dog – GCH CH Chaos and Havoc – Sabotage.

It was a long, cold, rainy night when a litter of pups was born in the whelping box to a gorgeous Azawakh by the name of ‘Katniss.’ Amongst the pups in that litter was a star to be – a character right from birth who was destined to cause a stir. She named him ‘Sabotage.’

Now it’s not every day that a pup is born to two of the most incredible specimens of their breed – so it’s no wonder that ‘Sabotage’ had a lot to live up to. Ch Chaos and Havoc Katniss has been the bearer of 11 Champion pups with one still being shown towards it’s title and has been awarded a Silver Dam Merit for her efforts. Her union with GCH CH AdvoKat Wave Walker was always destined to be fruitful! The Great GCH CH AdvoKat Wave Walker has literally made waves since the day he first rocked up in the ring and not only did he finish at #7 on the All-Time Top Azawakh list but he has also produced a staggering 14 Champion offspring – and has been awarded a Bronze Sire Merit Award for his outstanding efforts!

Entering the ring at the tender age of 25 days old Sabotage was determined to make an impression – finishing his CH title in just 4 days with 4 x Major pointed BOB wins back to back! He then stepped forth to begin his attempts at making himself known in the Group by winning 2 x BIGs and 2 x 3rd in Groups during the next 7 days as he earned points towards his GCH title – which was awarded on the 1st June after just 11 days of first entering the ring!

And now he sits on his comfy bed in the Retirement Wing of the kennel runs and thinks back to all his wins and triumphs in the ring – including:

- Finishing at #41 on the Current ALL BREED list for August (1,552 All Breeds beaten this month)
- Finishing at #1 on the Current Azawakh Top Show list for August (120 Azawakhs beaten this month)
- Finishing at #1 Azawakh for Grand Champion points awarded in the month of August (264 GCH Points)
- Finishing at #5 on the All Time Top Azawakh list – having beaten a total of 636 other Azawakhs during his show career!

- 62 BOB
- 16 BIG
- 4 BISS
- 1 RUISS
- 3 RU for BIG
- 4 x 3rd in Group
- 6 x 4th in Group
- 1 x 3rd in All Breed Show
- 4 x 4th in All Breed Show
- 636 Breed Beaten
- 2,023 Group Beaten (Hounds)
- 4,836 All breed beaten

Sabotage has also been able to father 8 Champion pups himself – with a few more litters on the way still! happy :)

Being given a name like ‘Sabotage’ at birth I think he always felt like he needed to live up to his name – and funnily enough he did exactly that! In the last few days of his show career he was creeping up on his father GCH CH AdvoKat Wave Walker on the All Time Top Azawakh list and just a few days ago he managed to jump ahead of his father to take the #5 spot!

Working with a breed such as Azawakhs has given me a lot of joy on ShowDog and I am very proud to have been the owner of such a great specimen of the breed! Here’s to many more dogs in the future being as successful as Katniss, Wave Walker and Sabotage! happy :)

Did you know?
In multi-breed and all-breed shows, the winners of all breeds within the kennel club's breed Groups then compete for Group placements.
