What does an * next to number after session mean? I have dogs that were at 16, then after session they were still at 16 but had an * next to it? How do you get your dogs to 20 for show if # not going up after session?

When you session your dogs, the number does not always go up each time. You may have to session a few times before your dog increases in a particular area. For example, Alaskan Malamutes take forever to session (34 days). There are a lot of days when I session and their show obedience does not go up at all. This is not that way for all breeds. Each breed sessions differently. Just keep training them and the number will go up eventually.

Premium accounts can make their own dog food, which helps their Muscle Tone and Coat Condition improve faster, but it will improve with training and feeding them the Super Puppy or Super Adult dog food from basic accounts.

You can find this information in the help section.

The * means they were sessioned that day. For example:

19* 18* 16* (used 3 sessions)
19* 18 16 (used 1 session)

Imagine it as training yourself. You don't become instantly better just because you started; running for a day doesn't grant you muscle and fitness, eating healthier doesn't automatically effect you, just as your hair, skin, and teeth don't change very much just because you, today, began to take care of them or how a few classes doesn't mean you mastered was the subject. It takes time, effort, and proper nutrition to gradually improve. 1 month on here is about 1 year in the real world, which makes it a faster process to see results and you get a definite visual of progress.

You will likely see daily changes early on - they go from 12 to 15 fairly quickly, 15 to 17 takes longer. Nineteen to 20 takes FOREVEVER! Or so it seems. And some breeds take longer than others.

Also, if the puppy was born low due to being out of a dam that was low ("malnourished"wink ;), they will take longer too.

Your 16 may actually have been 16.0 and after sessioning it was 16.2, but due to rounding still shows as 16. The next day it might be 16.4 - still see 16. At 16.5, you will see 17 but it's not a real 17. You can see where I'm going here . . . (lol).

Did you know?
In multi-breed and all-breed shows, the winners of all breeds within the kennel club's breed Groups then compete for Group placements.
