My Generation is 94 and the top SOP in show dog are in Gen 102.

This is my highest SOP

The top dogs are around 93.
I *might* be able to show some of mine in a year.

To finish, let alone point, one of my 100% source dogs will be quite a thrill!

Congrats! I hope to start a source project in my other kennel soon. I'm hoping that I have the patience to stick with it. I'm glad to see that it can be done though happy :)

It can be done. Just make sure you have other show kennels or you will go nuts!
LOL

Edited to add: you have to have a "stick to it" type personality. If you are a quitter, don't start. WSS take this long to still not be show quality. I'm not sure about other breeds.
Maybe they all tske this long.
It is a GOOD 10-12 years of work.

Congrats! I've been source breeding as long as you. I'm almost caught up myself. My highest SOP is 92.80 and generation 59. The ones that are in the show ring are 96 and above and generation 102+

Wow, the only time I've had patience for a source project was in my favorite breed (Dachshunds) and I definitely bred to the higher SOP. I'm thinking if might be kind of fun to try it if/when I get a family kennel.
