Why are source dogs SO expensive? We are lucky to get $100 out of High SOP pups and Titled dogs. What makes a source dog so Special to bring $4200.00 ????

They're not expensive in all breeds. It's based on the average balance of users active in that breed as well as the amount of dogs for sale. Both of those are to prevent it from competing with other users in the breed trying to sell dogs. Breeds that need help getting more activity have lower priced starter dogs... Old English Sheepdog Otterhound Papillon Manchester Toy Terrier Mastiff Miniature Pinscher Irish Water Spaniel Kuvasz Lowchen Lakeland Terrier Puli Saint Bernard Scottish Deerhound Scottish Terrier Tibetan Terrier Toy Poodle Vizsla Weimaraner Briard Bearded Collie Bedlington Terrier Belgian Sheepdog Belgian Malinois Affenpinscher American Foxhound German Shorthaired Pointer English Toy Spaniel Field Spaniel Havanese Ibizan Hound Dandie Dinmont Terrier Curly-Coated Retriever Chinese Shar-Pei Leonberger Alaskan Klee Kai Neapolitan Mastiff Redbone Coonhound Glen of Imaal Terrier Plott Dogue de Bordeaux Azawakh Bergamasco All of those have $20 starters. However, if you're in a breed with a lot of activity, they will be quite expensive. |

You have to remember tho- the price will change (maybe within a day) depending on if there are any of those breeds on the sale page. Today they may be 20.00, but tomorrow they may be at a higher price. jmo |

Yes, that is correct. It changes based on how many dogs are for sale. Purchasing starter dogs was never meant to be something that is done a lot. |

It's the only place I am finding the White/cremes within the Shiba Breed. But that sticker price whew!! Guess that color will stay dormant for the time being. |
