Hey Jeff,

Studios in Curlies is putting up dogs for sale on approval for $1k. Promptly, buying them in their basics afterwards.

Today, Studios sold several dogs to their basics Calabro JF K and Newark.

Can something be put in place to prevent this cheating from happening?

The users have been using basics to cheat for months in this breed and its getting really tiresome.

Reasonable prices sales to Basics do not bug me... but when they are funneling money from basics it's a little annoying.

AND - using basics to stuff shows and greatly raise the requirements for majors is even more annoying.

ruins the breed don't it, that part of the game i did not miss. just picking up some of my old lineage in goldens and starting a couple curlies in this kennel. never saw the need to cheat.....any help much appreciated

Calabro JF K and Newark have done this in the past with other breeds, and its not fair to the rest of us not to mention that their tactics are obvious cheating.

Didn't there used to be a script where Jeff would find the multiple basics?

This person/group has been in two of my breeds and both breeds are now slowly recovering.

Thought Jeff had banned them, but obviously not.

Oh - expect some abuse in this forum from him/her/them as he/she/they don't like criticism.

Yeah, I believe all the basics in the breed are run by the same person.

La Guardia was part of the original 2 (with JFK), so definitely La Guardia.

It appears (to me at least) that MacArthur/Republic are also involved in this ring... both kennels own several curlies from "Studios" the premium kennel. They both were involved in engies for a time..

I like how this person is using all New York area airports as their sham kennel names.

So just in this thread, I see 6 basics and one premium?

Yikes. That's bad. If I was in curlies I would leave if this problem wasn't resolved. Hope Jeff gets this fixed soon.

This same person didn't pull these tactics in ECS, but would enter ALL of their dogs (as in like, 30) and put handlers on ALL of them. I messaged asking if they could just put handlers on a handful of the dogs so that myself and other ECS breeders could enter and compete. They never followed through. This also drove up the amount of dogs needed for a major.

Did it to Kooikerhondjes and Wirehaired Pointing Griffons too.

They must lead a pretty sad life if they feel the need to cheat on a game!

I nearly left both Kooikers and WPGs over this player(s).

Fortunately the player tripped over the line at that point and Jeff either banned (short term) or threatened to ban, and player went elsewhere.

Obviously to Curlies.

Kleenex is a newer standard kennel. I don't think there is a connection. Did you link the right dog?
