Hi everyone! Does anyone have insight into how the traits get displayed? For example, I noticed that with my lower overall SOP dogs, it's not uncommon for a breeding of two 91 SOP dogs to produce a 92. But as you go higher, it's seems very tough to get from 99.80 to 99.85 or so. Do traits have to be tighter to show a 10.0 than an 11.0? As in a 10.125 would show as an 11.0 but a 10.025 would be a 10.0?

Hopefully someone understands what I mean happy :)

I get your point, but also have no idea why this happens

I think I understand the question. Yes, I do believe that there is something built in so that the closer you get to "perfect" the less progress you will see but over time you will see progress if you work at it.

Remember even with a 10.0 trait, all 10.0s are not the same - some are 10.00s and some are 10.04s; some are 9.95s and some are 9.99s - at lest that is the generally accepted interpretation.

Thank you for the responses! I hacked my description so I wasn't sure anyone would understand what I meant happy :)

I guess a lot of the fun behind the game is that we don't know all the details!

I've played in a few breeds of varying popularity, so that's what got me thinking.

It just makes sense (to me at least) that the closer to (visibly) "perfect" (10.0) you get, the tighter the (hidden) decimals must be. For example, anything 9.995-10.005 (internally) might show as a 10.0 trait. But then 9.900-9.994 shows as a 9.9 and
9.800-9.899 shows as 9.8
