Average Litter Size

The average litter sizes for most breeds come from various sources including the AKC standards.

Some breeds where information could not be found had litter sizes estimated by a formula based on the size of the breed.

A breed's average litter size can be found on the breed's information page.

If you have information on a breed included on Showdog.com that could have its litter size increased or decreased based on a reliable source, please contact us.
