Ok so I started source breeding...again. And again, im getting frustrated and bored with it lol. But I think I may keep some Lag. in the kennel as a side breed since they are quiet easy and fun to finish. But, with being in goldies for a while, I think I would like a more competitve breed. I will not be choosing right away as I need to build up the funds in my kennel, but I would like to start looking at and researching some breeds while I wait.
Requirments: *A friendly group of breeders. Im used to having just about everyone in chat in the same breed (until we all pretty much stopped goldies :P) so I like having a group that is supportive and helps out. *Not to high/close in sop. One reason I quit goldies was because everyone was getting like 98.9 98.8 etc and it was so close as to what could finish and what couldnt. I would like a breed thats in the mid 90s if possible. *Frequent group placers and show placers if possible. I have bred ONE homebred multiple BIS winning dog, but I didnt get the chance to show. *Fairly low stud and puppy prices.
Thats about all I can think of now, thanks Kool Dogs

Hi,
I have several of the high difficulty breeds in different kennels. Most of those thought are in the 98.9-99+ sops now.
Aussies are quite competitive, but the highest SOP has just reached 98.9 and I believe there are only 2 of them, I am still finising 98.5 dogs pretty easily.
American cockers are also fun, lots of colors to choose from if you like color breeding. Its a very active breed on the forum and the people are very friendly. I would say 98.3 and up is easy enough to finish.
If you are looking for a lower key breed I am having quite alot of fun with Old English Sheepdogs and Kerry Blue Terriers, which I've just started dabbling in myself. I am showing a 97 Kerry Bitch that has 2 5 point majors already. And I have a 97.8 OES that finished really quickly and is one of the highest SOP's too.
I have 3 family accounts so lots of breeds feel free to PM me if you have any other questions. |

How about Swedish Vallhunds we meen all but one.
We are all friendly and use our breed forum. Ive had a few fun chats in the forum.
Our top SOP is a 93.5 but it ranges from 90-92 as adverage.
We are a cheap breed with most studs and sales $100.
But we dont get group or show placings yet. |

I have to recomend Anatolian shepherds!!! SOp is in the mid 90's. I believe the highest is a 96? Im probably wrong on that but its around there- I believe it was just updated on the sop list. There are lots of colors so if you eve rbecome interested in that its fun. Im color breeding right now- trying to get some blue fawns and red fawns into the 90+ sop range sine there are very few that I can find and so far have passed my goal.
The players in this breed are very nice and helpful. Dogs generally run 100-200 at most that Ive seen. Same with pups. Stud fee's from $50-150. Lots of studs out there. I havent shown much since Im color breeding so I am unsure on that aspect.
Please consider us.

How about Chinese Shar-Peis, we need more players, dogs are easy to finish, no handler rush and we are happy to help each other |

I would have to second Julie with the Chinese Shar-Pei's. Not so difficult and the SOP is fair.

Westhighland, Saint Bernards or Afghan Hounds and even Salukis are good dogs with high SOPS. |

For the people who suggested some breeds without listing what SOP is finishable, do you mind adding that please?
