Hi Friends!

I have played SD off and on for over 12 years now. I've watched the game slowly settle into an older, established group instead of constant new members.

I want to invite you to join a Facebook page for the promotion of the game: ShowDog Exhibitors, Breeders, Friends and Fans:
https://www.facebook.com/showdogebff

I also want to start doing monthly, quaterly, and yearly challenges. To fully participate, you need to follow the Facebook page (because I can schedule posts there, I can't do that here) but we'll play in both locations.

There are prizes!

The March Challenge

The Challenge: Finish as many champions as possible (bred by you or others) during the month of January.

The Prizes: The top account will receive a badge for their kennel page and $1000 in SD money. All participants who finish at least 3 champions will receive a badge as well.

How to Play: I'll post a completion post on March 28th here on Facebook. You'll need to post your account name and the total number of finished champions.

I know I won't be participating because I don't have any dogs yet. I have some puppy bitches across my accounts. We will see how I fare in the April challenge, which will be more complicated (with a bigger prize).

I don't think March will be an amazing month for me and Championships, but still going to try out.

Does anyone else have any champions this month?

I have my first litters on the ground, but only one possibly showable toy poodle (across 5 accounts). I doubt she'll be finished this month.

I do have two other breeds with pups, but they're color projects and in the 50s-70s.

Third dog here as well! I think I will finish the month with probably four champions.

Last night marked two champions and one grand champion in this kennel. I'm so close to finishing the grand champ on a staffie in my other kennel as well.

Wow!

Amazing work, guys!

My only show pup is just 6 days old.

Next month, I should be finishing 3-4 in each breed (I hope! Depends on competition, plus a few breeds are color breeding up to standard.)

I get to cheat a bit, I show against myself in this kennel so there is no point in sessioning all the way and I can get dogs in the ring very quickly. It’s just for the fun of it, there is no hope in group placements anyways but it’s nice to see that “Ch” on some dogs.

Is this by kennel or by person? I have 3 active kennels, do I count them together?

Did you know?
The sit for exam is a modified version of the Stand for Exam. It is generally used in novice level classes and requires the handler to order the dog to sit and then to move away from the dog the length of the leash. The judge will then approach the dog and pet the dog's head.
