Hello players and Lab players in particular.

What would you do if you had, as I do, 3 identical pups but you only intend to keep one to show?

I am keeping the only finishable girl and only finishable yellow boy. The remaining 3 boys are all the same colour and have identical SOPs.

What to do, what to do??

Cheers,
Carolyn

I'm in the same boat with my Labs. I mean I feel like an idiot when I complain about getting so many great puppies at a time, but at the same time I know logically that I don't have the room to keep them all.

I try to compare their stats first, color second, but when they are identical it truly just becomes eenie meenie miney moe.

Sometimes I'll sell, but I feel like there hasn't been a great many people buying Labs at the moment so they just sit and I have to feed them.

This probably isn't helpful. LOL

Well, the triplets are waiting, being fed and sessioned.
Who knows! I might finish sessioning them and pit them against each other to see whose algorithm is best...LOL

Cheers.

That's what I would do - show them all and see is really the best.

The triplets make their show debut tomorrow. Let’s see how they do against each other.

Trip, Tromp & Troop? (FABULOUS names!)
Reeeeeally interesting results. They really are identical, even in sessioning.

Sorry that I'm stalking your triplets, but I am really invested in seeing this play out at this point. LOL!!!

Well the thing is that even with showing them together, the results will depend on the judge in addition to the hidden numbers. Been there, done that. LOL

this post has been edited 2 time(s)

Though neither of the triplets has a point yet, it is clear which one, at the moment, is the best of the three.
Trip seems to consistently beat the other two. Have a look.
(This is a great exercise in sussing out better dogs with the same SOP)
Obedience is still at 19. Maybe one will,do better than the other 3 when it reaches 20.

Cheers!

My Lab conundrum is resolved.
All three Labs in my ‘triplet’ have now finished their Ch.
Interestingly, they finished n the order of their popularity.

A fun experiment
.

Did you know?
The figure 8 exercise requires the team to heel in a figure 8 pattern either on or off leash. Generally two of the ring stewards will assist the judge with this exercise by acting as "posts", standing 8 feet apart, that the team walks around to form the loops of the figure 8.
