Correct but there are also two other conditions:

-Has grand champion majors under three judges.
-Beat another champion in at least three different shows

if you click on 'Why isn't my dog a grand champion?' it will show you what other conditions you still need to meet. It takes about a day for the title to update once you meet all the requirements.

If it's Worth A Dime, he needs to beat one more champion, then he'll have his GCH. happy :)

A specialty show may be regional or national. A "Best in Show" win at a national specialty show is tremendously prestigious, indicating that the winning dog or bitch triumphed at a contest which attracted entries from the most serious fanciers of that breed in the country or continent. Some specialty shows attract international entries.
