I just wanted to let everyone know that tomorrow (Sunday the 23rd ) - is our Official Opening of the new Greyhound Adoption Program property!
We are also celebrating our 1000th dog to enter the program (Merlin), and also our annual Christmas party.

For those in Victoria (Aus), who wish to come along - everyone is welcome - The property is located at Seymour, on the Goulburn Valley Hwy (Shepparton side of Seymour). This exciting event runs from 11am to 4pm, and is well advertised in the town of Seymour (just off the Hume Fwy).

All breeds of dogs are welcome to come along (not just Greyhounds).... J
ust come along and enjoy the fun (Santa will be there, and there is a Fancy Dress competition for the dogs - and for the people the Fancy Dress competition has a theme of Australiana). There will also be a lot of Stalls (to buy stuff), Face-painting for the kids, Lucky door prizes, BBQ facilities etc etc etc.

We are expecting to have OVER 500 GREYHOUNDS attend! (I'm taking some photo's, which I'll post on the .net & link to here if anyone's interested in seeing them).

Hi Kerry.. what a wonderful achievement for the adoption program, 1000 greyhounds given a new lease on life... such sweet, gentle creatures they are.... You sure do have a bit of a drive though!!

Shame I can't make it, but I'll party with you in absentia! *LOL*

The day was great fun! Eden (my racing grey!!) got 3rd prize in the fancy dress competition, and was almost a celebrity because she's treated like a pet/GAP dog, yet still races!
Keep an eye out on the television - There was a TV crew there taking lots of footage - When I find out exactly WHO it was (ie: which station) I'll let everyone know.
I also brought home "Stan" (ugh! I DON'T like the name, BTW) - my newest Foster Dog.... He'll be with me for a few weeks for training & socialisation.
My camera decided to play up, and only two came out from the GAP get together, and they were only of Eden (dressed as Santa) with two other greys (wearing Santa hats)....
