this post has been edited 3 time(s) I figured I'd help out people looking to help rare breeds since I have too much time on my hands LOL. These may not be 100% accurate and will change as time goes on. I'm marking the breeds I'm in, so you can contact me if you would like to get in to the breed .

Wow Cuon - I'm impressed - this is a great way to encourage more people to join the dying breeds Well done on your efforts in compiling this list I have always gone for the rare breeds - and I currently have Anatolian Shepherds, Azawakhs and Caucasian Mountain Dogs - when I joined each of these breeds there was only 2-3 breeders, and over time most of them left for RL reasons - then I was the only breeder! I have now successfully recruited a lot of active players in each breed - and now they are thriving |

its also really sad to seer breeds such as the Wire-haired Pointing Griffon having only 15 (!!!) dogs in the gene pool I'd imagine their COI% must be struggling unless they have access to studs in abandoned kennels? |

this post has been edited 1 time(s) It seems like a couple of the breeders in WPG have just recently left and FH'd many of their dogs. I saw one person who bought up a few of the dogs (about 8 iirc). They're definitely the breed in the most need and I'm considering picking them up in another kennel cause it's sad to see a breed in such need. ----- Last edited by Cuon on 3/18/2015 8:16:00 PM |

I hate seeing so many breeds with so few dogs! I am considering FHing my Bichon starter project and making room for a rare breed |
