To finish a CH title, your dog needs to earn a total of 15 points. Two of those wins must be majors (earning 3, 4, or 5 points in a single show). You can earn points/majors by being awarded WB/WD and above against breed competition. This is based on your breed(s) schedule of points of the breed page

GCh titles are similar.... You will need a total of 25 points, three of which must be majors from three DIFFERENT judges, plus your dog needs to place over champions in three different shows as well. You can earn points and majors by earning BOB and BOS over breed competition. The CH title must be obtained before the GCh as well.

As far as tips... Session your dog, enter with or without handlers based on the judges preference and the handlers ranking. That's really it lol know your breed and the scale of points and like in irl, breed to the standard to produce more desirable traits for show..

Eta id say breed for health and function but that is not SD's aim.lol

something i do is throw young dogs that aren't fully sessioned into non handler shows until they are fully sessioned just because then they aren't at a disadvantage by not having access to all of the handlers.

Also, go through the judge list and see what they find important, and see which ones put more weight on the strengths of the dog you are showing. Keep a list for the dog and try to enter shows with those judges.

Did you know?
The third obedience title is a UD, or "Utility Dog", which is earned through competition in the Utility obedience class
