I haven't posted or been on here for a long time. My dad passed away in October and it hit me pretty hard

But enough about that lol. Not sure if you guys remember the horribly obese bloodhound I brought home almost a year ago. But he's making a lot of progress. When we first got him he was a sausage so fat didn't have an inch of loose skin and while he still has a ways to go he is getting there! His best friends are my lab and my cat lol. He has become a big mommas boy and showed me how much he loves me the day I had my knee surgery when he climbed up on the bed for the very first time and slept beside me with his head on my shoulder. It was an awesome moment for me. I'm going to have to share pics one at a time in comments because I can't figure out another way to do it on my phone lol. But here is one recent pic of Zeke

I have been thinking of you and Zeke!! I'm glad to see he is making progress! Do you know how much he is down since you guys got him? Wasn't he like 220 when you first adopted him?

Thank you guys. Last check he was below 200 but then our vet went on maternity leave and just recently came back and I'm still halfway layed up and will be a little bit before I can get him there. Lol we've only had him less than a year. I did get to talk to his original owner of course the story of how he ended up in a junkyard is a bit fishy. But I did find out that he started gaining the weight after he was fixed.

That's a lovely chocolate lab!

LOL! Can you imagine the extra wrinkles Zeke will have? My dog was 30 pounds overweight when we got him, and when I got him down to 74 pounds, he actually didn't have too much loose skin. We thought for sure he would be ridiculously loose.

He already has a crazy amount of loose skin lol especially considering there wasn't one inch of flop to it when we got him. And thank you the lab is our other pride and joy lol. She's more of a daddy's girl lol but love her to death

Zekie got weighed again and my love bug is down to 179! We and vet are thrilled with his progress!! He was 228 the day we got him a year ago.
