'over the years' I have noticed that almost all affie breeders have the same colors in their kennels. White and creams, and now silver and blue. For a while I tried to breed mostly black and tans, but it was hard to get them up to date on SOP. Now I want to get back the brindles.

Anyone here that think of color when you breed? Any colors you want? or don't want?

I've tried to distinguish myself by having mostly masked dogs (for a while they were pretty hard to find).

That said, I might be tempted if you happened to end up with a Blue and Cream. wink ;)

Reviving an old post. I am getting into Afghans (and decided to get totally out of borzoi to make room!) and am interested in seeing if there are still color projects going on. I had fun working on bringing back missing colors in a couple of other breeds (when I first started in borzoi almost everything was black and tan with some type of white, and I'm working on Mudi in a different kennel). Starters are expensive, but I'll see if I can find someone to make some and hope I get colors needed. I need to do some research to see what color genes do what.

But, just wanted to introduce myself and see if there are any color projects going on that need help!
