His show record is kind of cracking me up. He's gone BOSS twice...on Aug 8th at my specialty show and again at the August Dachshund Nationals but can't place better than about class or Reserve in regular shows.

He seems to be far above breed average - congratz!
For better placings in regular shows, I think he just needs better handlers. Randal Harris and Pamela Geist are both no handler judges, so he'll perform way better if you assign no handler at all. For other judges, try to consider their shown handler preferences.
