Just a thought... How about as well as the champions class a grand champ too. It would allow those trying for merit awards to collect their points. And not stifle younger champion gaining their grand title. Perhaps even just at world cup and breed nationals to start with.

Personally, I do not think it is necessary. To your point on younger dogs, the best dogs will place under the right judges regardless of GCH or even CH status.

If anything, Select Dog and Select Bitch should be added to increase GCH point wins but that most likely will not happen either.
