Eclissi

My niece, who now owns Witness, recently expirienced a shock as she spent a sleepless night with her horse, Mori, while she was struggling with an accident in the field. She was running in the dark, and ran into a fence post, a foot inch piece of round wood, cracking it in half. As the vet came out to euthinize Mori in the dark field, I heard my niece recite this poem into Mori's ear, singing it over and over, until the vet pulled up into our driveway. Holding Mori's head in her arms, the vet put her beloved horse to sleep. She sat rocking her horse's head until six in the morning, crying and singing, when she finally got up and walked away.

After 6 years of companionship, it was a loss not taken easily.
