Res Judicata

Res Judicata Kennels ..... A Matter Settled by Judgment

Our Goals

We are striving to quickly improve the Dalmatian breed in order to gain competitiveness in Best of Show and Group Placings. We have an extensive breeding program that relies heavily on puppy sales and stud fees. We often have finishable puppies for sale that simply do not conform to our current breeding program. Expect that our stud fees will be higher than average as our selective breeding program does not focus on SOP so much as selective breeding of multiple generations of complimentary characteristics likely to throw excellent pups. We do not keep or place at stud any other quality dogs.

OUR STUDS

When looking for the right dog for your bitch, consistency is one of the most important qualities. Our studs are a result of an intensive breeding program that has focused on maintaining great numbers in the traits that count. Never expect that our studs will be listed for the minimal $100.00, even if they are unfinished, because our breeding program has produced the highest SOP's in the breed which is a costly enterprise. However, depending upon your bitch, agreements for pick of the litter or other such deals can be arranged for serious kennels striving to improve the breed.

CH Amicus Commander - 98.9 SOP and currently the highest in the breed. Commander is the product of generations of selective breeding slightly heavy on the 10+ side of coat characteristics, but with his dam being a 9.9. As our breed SOP's get higher, such combination breeding will make all the difference in show placings. This doesn't mention the focus on all of the major characteristics, which have resulted in only a .1 deviation in head, top and size.

CH Amicus Legacy 98.8 SOP but with better show results than Commander. Legacy compliments our breeding program also being a result of our focus on the highest point characteristic in the breed, i.e. the 20 point coat, with a 9.9 coat. Legacy is also a result of a 10.1/9.9 breeding and has most likely superior "hidden decimals" in coat than Commander based upon show results. Again our breeding program has achieved this excellent coat statistic while maintaining high standards in other highly pointed traits.

CH Amicus Called to Serve 98.8 SOP - son of Legacy that is solidly in the 9.9 coat side of our breeding program. He is a generation removed from our cross-breeding program that is likely to produce excellent results. Notice the solid 9.9 traits where it counts!

CH Amicus High Command 98.8 SOP - son of Commander for those who want a stud with quality ancestors. You will find that all but one in his pedigree are either 10.1 or 9.9 coated animals. High Command is certain to throw consistent pups with such a pedigree!

FOR SALE

When purchasing any Amicus pups, rest assured that they have been maintained through their 'puppyhood' on high quality rations. All newborn pups are fed as if they are the next Breed Champion. By the age of three days, they are sorted by finishing potential with likely finishers maintained on top quality food. Other puppies are maintained on rations high on medicines for long lives, with the focus on producing multiple champions! Females are also maintained on high condition formulas to ensure that their puppies arrive in the best possible condition.

Potential show animals are often sessioned prior to settling at least in Training which is the most difficult for the breed to attain a '20.' Because of our quality, prices are typically not bargains in the short run, but pay off in the long run! If you have any questions about a specific animal, please send us a message.

We do not currently have puppies for sale and have recently been disappointed in sales. No longer will individuals be listed here for sale. Please see the "FOR SALE" Dalmatians page. However, we are interested for qualified kennels to have some of our animals finished by others. If you are interested, please send a PM and we can make arrangements for your kennel to finish Amicus pups!
