Dam Merits

When a bitch sires a certain amount of champions, it receives a merit for the accomplishment. Dam merits are only calculated once per week and the title isn't awarded immediately after a bitch has reached it.

Gold Dam

Dam of 20 champions. This is one of the highest honors a bitch can achieve on Showdog.com.

Silver Dam

Dam of 10 champions.

Bronze Dam

Dam of 5 champions.

Did you know?

The sit for exam is a modified version of the Stand for Exam. It is generally used in novice level classes and requires the handler to order the dog to sit and then to move away from the dog the length of the leash. The judge will then approach the dog and pet the dog's head.
