I have heard that severe weather today caused the abandonment of Blackpool Champ Show.I hope anyone who went there is ok.Severe winds at this time of year is really bad

I have just heard that there were a lot of people hurt and injured and our thoughts and prayers go out for them.

I couldn't believe it when I heard yesterday, incredible.

I really don't know how it wasn't so much worse!! Though I wonder how many dogs will never show again

That's horrible! I'll keep everybody in my prayers.

I watched it on the news yesterday, it was a horrible accident. But on the report there was not one mention about any of the dogs. I'm glad no-one was killed.

I have heard that when the benching tent was ripped off the ground people were throwing themselves over their dogs or getting under the benches.There was a lot of flying metal that hit or just missed people.
I am sure it eas the most frightening experience ever for many and it will make me think twice about going to a benched show again even though I wasn't there.They had tractors holding down the BIS tent early that morning and I think the question will be why it wasn't abandoned earlier.I have only heard one report of a dog that got loose in the car park but nothing else.Hopefully someone caught them before they ran too far.We will get more news in Dog World or Our Dogs later this week.
