Just a quick note to all interested in the world of competitive dogsled racing, the start of the 32nd Iditarod commences tomorrow morning at 10am in Anchorage, AK with the re-start to follow on Sunday in Willow.
Canadian woman musher, Karen Ramstead, and her team of purebred registered Siberian Huskies WILL be running again this year ( www.iditarod.com/ramsteadkaren.shtml ), and I think she deserves some good home country support!

Thats so cool, go Karen! When I got my Husky I wanted to go dog sledding, bought the harness, went back to her Sire's owners who are big time dog sled people, and me and my dog sat on the sled while all of their dogs pulled us around. It was a lto of fun, but my dog didn't think she should have to pull people on sleds, even though her father was a CKC Champion and a Sled dog, and Obedience titled. She was quite content to sleep the day away on the couch hehe

Did you know?
At least two wins must be a set of three or more points ("majors"), under two different judges; at least one additional win under a third judge is also required.
