Hi there, can anyone tell me what size thinning shears are best to use on an english cocker? (or how many teeth I mean) He's a pet, not a show dog, but I'd like to have him looking nice - he has an extraordinarily thick and shaggy/wavy coat and looks like a barrel rolling around on tree stumps for legs! laugh :D I clip him pretty short along the back, I'd like to thin out the 'skirt' area a little where it meets the clipped area on his side, to help it lay flatter. He doesn't need to look any rounder than he already is! I'd also like to thin out the feathering on the legs - you can't really call it feathering at the moment, more like shag pile carpet! Any grooming tips would be most welcome. Thankyou.
