Hi everyone, I just had a litter of 7 yesterday, 3 girls and 4 boys, all gray. They are out of Tiger Princess(tawny brindle) and Earthly Element(gray). New SOP's range from 50.85 to 61.55. Princess is 42.5 so this is a semi sourcie breeding if any of you source breeders are interested. I have 2 litters due, first is Copper Tigress(mahogany brindle) to Gravitas Dynamite(black). Hopefully color breeding. She is 52.25 and he is 75.4. Next is Dynamic Lady(tawny) 77.95 to Don Collado Corleone(gray)82.75. Hopefully some showable stock. Petite Lady is leased out right now, due I believe the 30th. Then she goes to Milano if still interested. I am sessioning up a male and female from Dynamic Lady's last litter and I know several of you are doing the same with some siblings. I think we have all bases covered. Pheww, now what is going on in your kennels? happy :)

Not a whole lot yet. So far I've produced one sourcebred litter and I have another on the way. I plan to breed each of my males to each of my females and keep the best 12-14. After that, I may ask if I can lease a bitch and I'll do some mixing and matching between source and mid-range studs. I'll be focusing on brindled dilutes, so grey brindles and tawny brindles. This is my first source kennel so this is all new to me. If my ideas sound completely crazy, please let me know wink ;)

I understand that black brindles are hard to come by. I have 4 right now which I plan to use in my breeding program, but since I'm not focusing on them I won't likely keep many I produce, if any. If anyone is interested in them let me know. Of course they're currently really low quality.

I'm quite excited about Neos and how enthusiastic everyone involved is so far! This game is much more fun when there's a social aspect to it.

Happy breeding!
Heather happy :)

Hi Heather, Your idea is completely awesome, not crazy! I am interested in black brindle and gray brindle. I love color breeding, bringing back lost colors is fun. It sometimes takes awhile to get stock up to showable quality, but is all very worth it! I have been color breeding in Bostons, frenchies, bulldogs and shar pei's. I have used starters and found breeding stock in abandoned and basic kennels. It just takes a little research, when I have extra time I go pedigree surfing to look for studs or dogs for sale.
If or when I leave this game I want to make sure to leave one dog of every color in all the above mentioned breeds on the stud list. This will make it easier to bring back lost colors. So many times I get to a dog in the color I desperatly need and the breeder did not put them on stud list. Many times a basic kennel will get starters in lost colors and I would message them to ask if I could buy or lease dogs.
I have not researched the genetic codes for color in Neo's yet, I have been guessing lol, Those shar peis had me busy for months they have a bazillion colors and dilutes as well as 3 coat types. I think I printed out 5 pages of genetic coding for color. I finally found the coding way back in the shar pei forum, I believe it was posted in 2008.
Sorry about the book I just wrote. I am just so stoked to have people to work with. Several of the other breeds I have worked on had nobody else interested in color breeding. I had one breeder really mad at me because AKC did not recognize the colors I was working on. I just informed her that this is a game and not real life. I pay to play this game and I love color breeding! By the by if anyone wants a shar pei in any coat type or color I got em! LOL Alenahappy :)

Great idea Alena!! I'm sure we can get more people to join this breed, especially since we're all so friendly, active, and helpful wink ;)

Right now, not much is going on with my Neossad :( My Borzois have kinda taken over, as since they're such a popular breed, I have to keep lots to keep up with everyone! ATM, I'm sessioning up one 81 SOP girl, to get her into the show ring....and, if at all possible, after my Borzois are sessioned up, I may start sessioning another 2-3, just to get them into the ring.

Heather---Your idea is great!! Please keep us updated on how it works out!!happy :)

Alena--Please let me know if you have any bitches available for lease! I may want 1-2 wink ;)

Sincerely,

~Shimmer

P.S. I will be gone on vacation next week(Tuesday-Thursday), but I may not get on again until next Saturday, so just so everyone knows, I'm not gone, just away wink ;)

Hey Everyone,

Let's see... on my end I am currently sessioning up that nice male pup I bought from Spree, and hope to get him into the showring soon! I saw this morning that Neo's have already moved up two spots on the breed list so we are moving in the right direction laugh :D

Otherwise still just working with the sourcies, just trying to experiment with the colors and see if I can get some going.

Alena - I would still be interested in leasing Petite Lady for a litter if she becomes available. You can just let me know. It would be nice to mix in some better quality stock and see what I can do.

Thanks! happy :)

Yay for Neo's they did move up 2 spots!
Another idea: When the higher sop dogs are old enough to show, I was thinking to put them into different shows than the sourcies. This way we will be taking nothing away from them. Umm I hope that is not going against any rule, does anyone know? I don't want to break any rules, just want to keep this fair for everyone and keep Neo's growing.

Heidi, I have you down as next in line to lease her, I will let you know when I get her back. And I just looked at your kennel you go with those gray and black brindles! If you run out of room and need me to buy or lease some just say the word, I will make room!

Shimmer, I can let you lease Dynamic Lady if you would like to after she has this litter, and/or put you down to lease Petite Lady after Milano if that is better. Hope you have a wonderful vacation! I am just returning to work tomorrow after 4 days off sad :(

Hi Heather, take your pick, let me know which you want and I will put them on sale on approval for you. If you have any black or gray brindles you can't keep you could post what is available here, there are several kennels working on that color from source. I think I am going to let go of frenchies and concentrate on Neo's. If the others are full I would be glad to take some and try to bring up sop.

Just had a litter of grays born keeping the two that are named for show, the rest are available to anyone who wants them just make an offer! SOPS range from 78-80.15

I would like to have at least one bitch in every color in this kennel so if anyone has a color I dont have help is always appriciated! I think all I have are solid colors atm!

Hi Phelonie,

I would love either Puppy #1 or Puppy #4 or both! Would you take $100 each for them?

Also, I have some grey brindles and black brindles I can part with. Only thing is, they're first generation or sourcies, so very poor quality. I don't know if that's something you're intersted in.

Thanks!

Congrats Phelonie! that is awesome! I am just sorting thru 2 litters tonight, after digging out of the snow squall here. Copper Tigress had 8 pups and threw every color but gray, she is mahogany brindle bred to a black stud. Dynamic Lady had 6 all tawny and gray high 70's to 82. Coppers pups are 57 to 67 sop, only 1 female and she is black. I have 1 black brindle(67.05)17.9ss, 1 tawny brindle(59.7)17.3ss, 1 mahogany brindle (59.9)20ss, 3 mahoganies and a tawny. Not sure what I should keep, if interested in any of them let me know and that will help me decide maybe lol. Maybe I just need to go fix dinner. Have a good evening you guys! Alena happy :)

Anyone want him? He's a 1st gen black brindle.

I'm sessioning up Existenz Outer Limit, a nice grey boy I got from Phelonie. I don't know if he's finishable or not, but at the very least having another dog in the show ring will help others finish their dogs.

Hi everyone, how are you all doing with sessioning these stubborn doggies? My goodness, obedience is just so slow!

I got some black brindle boys out of two different dams, they are in the 60's and also a gray brindle girl(woot). The tawny brindles are advancing slowly as are the mahogany brindles.

If anyone is interested I have 3 pups out of Dynamic Lady that I am going to sell, they have "Sell" in their call names, they have lower SS, 18"s and a 19. I thought I would post on here first so all the people working on Neo's could look at them first, or if you know anyone interested in the breed that does not have any yet, let them know.

Have a good weekend, Alena happy :)

Alfa Romeo is almost fully sessioned for the show ring. I have already started entering him into some shows, I figure what the hey!

Other than that, I am still just experimenting with the color breeding right now. I have not yet decided which colors I really want to work on so I have a bit of everything going on right now. laugh :D
I don't think I will list my source dogs up for stud as they are such low quality, but if any does see a dog in my kennel that they are interested in breeding to for color or what not, just let me know and I can put them up for $25.

Thanks,
Heidi

Hello there! I have just started in NM's and I will start with two source bitches and outbreed to higher studs along the way... Although I might buy that bitch of Spree's... I haven't decided yet! I chose NM's as a side project as you all are so friendly!!!

ETA: My first litter is bred to try to lock in the size!

Did you know?
The sit for exam is a modified version of the Stand for Exam. It is generally used in novice level classes and requires the handler to order the dog to sit and then to move away from the dog the length of the leash. The judge will then approach the dog and pet the dog's head.
