I was curious if anyone was still hanging around this forum? I'm about to send out a PM to every PON breeder I see on the breed's list about this, so here's the deal:

I'd really really love for us to have a more active forum. I tried this a little while back when I first joined the breed in Genesis Kennels (About 10 months ago! Can't believe I've been in the breed for so long!) , but never got that large of a response. I'm hoping to get a larger one this time...
What do you guys say to trying to do a few things as a breed? I tried this idea out about a year ago with Lexi @All 4 My Paws with English Springer Spaniels and we did pretty well with it for a while!

Here's a list of things we can do:
-A Weekly/Monthly PON Chat in the SD Chat Room- we can decide how much we would meet and the time and such as a breed.
-A Breed Newspaper- complete with an article about current winners, top studs, ads of top winners and studs, interviews, and such. We'd have to get a lot of cooperation with this.
-Keeping up the forum- Posting about new top SOPs, dogs for sale, recent wins, etc. is a good way to do so.

If you guys have any other suggestions, feel free to say them! I'll add them to the list happy :)
Let me know what you think of this!

Hi Madi,

I think you have some good ideas there. The newsletter might be a challenge. I know I personally don't have time. sad :(

I do try to post on the forum from time to time but I think a lot of us don't check it . . . or don't notice.

PON chat would be kinda fun. happy :)

Hi Madison

I appreciate the email to check the forum out but my Pon kennel is not my top priority kennel and I just don't have the time to get in here like I should so I know I won't have the time to be very active on any of your ideas. But wish you the best of luck and if I do have time I will try to catch what is going on.

Just came into the kennel today and found your note. As you can tell I don't work in my kennel often and only check it once in a while. You have some good thoughts on trying to get some communication going in the PON's and I will try to check in when I pop into the kennel.

I know I'm a bit late to this, but I do think that's a brill idea

I don't have the time to do a newsletter but I've been trying for many years to get this breed put on the map with hit and miss success and I think your forum idea in particular is a great one

Did you know?
The sit for exam is a modified version of the Stand for Exam. It is generally used in novice level classes and requires the handler to order the dog to sit and then to move away from the dog the length of the leash. The judge will then approach the dog and pet the dog's head.
