The past week has been horrible for Edmonton & area. ALOT of flooding in Edmonton - basements, Whitemud Dr, underground parking & even West Edmonton Mall got flooded out.

In Morinville, where I live, a tornado was touched down just outside town. Bricks blown off houses, instalation everywhere, trees ripped from the ground, power lines down & you could see a clear path were it hit. I dont think it caused extremely serious damage but it definitly caused something. Thank god no one was hurt.

A tornado was also spotted by the town of Andrew & multiple funnel clouds eleswhere and cant forget to mention the tornado that hit Grande Praire last week. Its been crazy!

Hows the weather across the country?

Here in Ontario we had our first day of summer on Sunday, lol. Its been cool all season and we haven't had to use the AC at all! Usually we have it running every day from the beginning of June..

Now its back to being cool again, the low for the next couple days is only 10! We've had little sprinkles of showers nearly every day and a few big thunderstorms, but nohting near as bad as where you are! I hope you were't caught too badly

I still can't believe it was that bad this past weekend here in Edmonton.

My boyfriend and I were out at his parent's place on Lake Wabamun, so we missed most of the big stuff, but got back to Edmonton in time to catch the news report about the roof over the skating rink caving. A friend of mine was one of the lucky few who got to trudge through the 2 inches of backed up sewage in the change rooms at the WEM waterpark, too.

Thankfully the weather's been nice this week.

I was in Calgary for the dogshows from July 9-12. A huge, black on black storm (I have never seen anything so ominious) just cruised on the edge of town and spit on us. However, my friend from Edmonton who was with us, said it actually hit with tremendous force there - hail, flooding and severe winds.

Oh my goodness, I guess we were quite lucky at the show!!!
