As mentioned in previous posts, I agree completely with the fact that if the dog qualifies, it should get the title -- no questions asked.

The problem lied in the fact that there was such an enormous number of qualifying dogs, that the seven people responsible for double-checking entries would be completely consumed by the task and the game would become a job for us.

That taken into account, we've come up with the following.:

The voting will be disbarred.

From now on, all a dog needs to be nominated is posted on the Breed forum board with a link to the dog in question and a total of how many champions are to his/her credit (the numbers are still and will be staying at 25 Champ offspring for Dogs and 12 Champ offspring for Bitches). A board member will then investigate the dog and make sure it meets the criteria.

If the dog meets the criteria, a simple response will be given that the dog has been submitted for the title.

If it does not, the board member will respond and explain why the dog was not submitted (i.e., a stud only has 24 champion offspring).

New lists of SOM/DOMs will not be posted until the 20th of every month, so do not expect instant gratification on this. We will be handling it in our spare time.

For this to work, we need to increase our numbers. Following is a list of the current group moderators and what groups they handle:

Herding - sunnierhawk0
Hound - Lyntown
Sporting - Mistys Acres
Non-Sporting - Black Pearl Puppies
Terrier - Velvet Rose
Toy - Tinkerbella
Working - Mitternacht

We need a total of 8 volunteers for this to work correctly. We will be increasing the amount of group moderators to -two per group-.

These two people will have to work closely together, so please do not apply to help a group with someone you do not get along with.

I'm asking for 8 because I myself will have to worry about keeping the running tally of all SOM/DOMs for the entire month and then distribute the awards, so I will not be handling the Working group. That means we need one more moderator for the first six groups, and two for the working group.
