I’ve been a little less-active in this breed than I would have liked, but have still had some relatively good success happy :)

My highest SOP dogs are:

Quileute – Power of Dance (90.15% Broodie)
www.showdog.com/dog.aspx?id=13619663

Quileute – Stone Cold Memories (90.15% Stud)
www.showdog.com/dog.aspx?id=13534350

I have been attempting to breed 9.8 in Coat and have so far got 4 dogs:

Quileute – Bird of Paradise, Fire Cloud, Flame Thrower and Rocket Man.

Their SOPs range from 87.60-89.05%

With time I should be able to breed up the SOP of those dogs with 9.8 in Coat.

I have managed to breed one GCH:

GCH CH Quileute – Place in History
(As well as 25 CHs.)

What has everyone else been up to? happy :)

i love this idea! I really miss how social this site used to be, anyway iv literally just started in this breed but I'm already in love, call it beginners luck but i was all excited to find a girl pup yesterday with a 90.0 sop then i come in today to find i had three pups born today with sop's of 90.30, 90.40 and 90.65!
All girls so if anyone wants to session up a girl or two i will have them in the ring soon (with four i believe it'll be a major) I'm hoping to Finnish all three or four =)

All thanks to quileute for providing me with four fabulous broods, its really great joining such a helpful breed!

in the furture id like to start focusing on size of upcoming pups, although for now I'm still just establishing my kennel, but you've gotta have goals wink ;)

Haha wouldn't have been possible if you hadn't shared some of your lovely dogs with me, so you deserve most of the credit! =)

Its like the puppy gods knew they'd get me hooked to this site again with a few good pups lol

Hi all!

I just started in CMDs so I don't have a lot going on yet. So far my highest SOP is 90.00

-WarmWater Rocky Pass (Bitch)
www.showdog.com/dog.aspx?id=13649459

and

-WarmWater Red Soldier (Dog)
www.showdog.com/dog.aspx?id=13680426

I'm still trying to build up my kennel but I'd like to eventually focus on HQ and TNB.

good to see another cmd breeder on the forum! =D
looks like were all in the same region with sop's!

Its a shame my pups won't be old enough to enter friday into the speciality. I'm so excited to start showing again i feel like its taken a week for them to turn three days old haha
Do either of you have pups getting ready for the ring?
I'm still new obviously so i haven't looked at entires yet to see how the competition is around here

So I noticed we haven't had a merit cmd for like four years! Are you guys working on that at all?

Super random I know, but toffee one of my foundation bitches currently has five pups in the ring, with a sixth sessioning and another litter on the way!
I didn't breed her, quilet was nice enough to share her with me to get my kennel started. So fingers crossed it'll be a nice way to say thank you happy :) hopefully I'll be posting here soon with some good news! Cross your fingers!!

I haven't really been showing as much as I should in this kennel and therefore I don't have any dogs that are likely to turn into Merit dogs unfortunately.

Lets hope that Toffee earns her Merit soon happy :)

1/5 done for toffee's pups! so close yet really sooo very far away! haha thats my first champ in this kennel happy :)

So out of curiosity and desire to keep this thread going what traits are you all working on? The highest size iv gotten is 9.3, thats what id ideally like to work on. While working on head a little too! i think my highest there is a 9.2, so lots of room for improvement!

-my first litters of cmd pups are a week away from breeding, it seems like iv been waiting forever to start my next generation! lol

Coat project:
I’m currently working on a ‘coat’ project and now have 8 x 9.8’s and 3 x 9.7’s in coat.

Head:
I haven’t focused on head very much at all – and only have 3 or 4 9.0’s in head as my highest in that trait.

Size:
I have about 8 or 9 dogs that have a 9.5 in Size – but thats about it :/

Thanks happy :) I'm looking forward to seeing what they can do for the breed too happy :)

I was wondering what everyone thought of this:

Who would be open to participating in a 'brood swap' arrangement?

Normally I don't bother selling my older broods once I have finished breeding from them, i just automatically FH them. I wondered if we all did this, and whether or not it might be an idea to try and do a 'brood swap'? This would just mean that once you have finished with a brood, you list her for sale and place the words 'brood swap' in the call name - and then another kennel can use her for 1-2 litters before she is eventually FH'd.

I wonder if this might help the breed by trying her genes out with other boys from other kennels etc. It may potentially also increase money flow between kennels ...

Just an idea - feel free to input happy :)

Well from now on I shall place the words 'Brood Swap' in the call name of any of my older girls that I think will be suitable happy :)

If anyone is looking for a new pup to mix in with their lines i have the pups for ya!
Sometimes i get a little to excited with that breed button and now its gotten me over run with so many nice dogs that I'm unfortunately going to have to fh! if anyone wants one feel free to make an offer, i hate to waste such good pups due to lack of room.
happy :)

Did you know?
The figure 8 exercise requires the team to heel in a figure 8 pattern either on or off leash. Generally two of the ring stewards will assist the judge with this exercise by acting as "posts", standing 8 feet apart, that the team walks around to form the loops of the figure 8.
