I don't know how to pick anymore. For instance, this particular judge "has a tendency to use dogs handled by certain handlers but isn't overt in it." Had a couple of dogs entered, dog and bitch, put favorite handlers on, and the other 9 entries were owner handled. Figured one of mine had a good shot, right? Wrong. One of the OH ones got 4th in show and all the placings were OH. Nothing against the winners, obviously. It's just really frustrating. Is it just me or does everything seem out of whack lately? I am going to start just picking with my eyes closed. Thanks for letting me vent. |

This show? https://www.showdog.com/shows/show_results.aspx?show=Wink%20all%20breed%2098 This has been brought up several times, but judges with this trait/preference will put up whatever dog they like, traits and handlers notwithstanding: Thinks dogs should be compared to how good they are vs the rest of their breed rather than overall quality vs all dogs. https://www.showdog.com/shows/judge_info.aspx?judge=Peter+Payne I truly think it's a glitch, but it can be interpreted to mean something like the results you saw today. I do not enter under these judges anymore. |

That's the one. Most of the time I just enter under OH judges because I just spend too much time and it is time wasted. Or I may just either put on no handler or I may just start going alphabetically. SMH. LOL. But I will never quit. I love all my binary dogs. |
