I have a female border collie and I was thinking of breeding her. However I was wondering if the male has a higher sop will the puppies come out better or how does it work? I just don't want to waist my 1 breeding. I would like to make it count. So could I get some help?

A better stud would help you get better pups, but there are better females out there if you want to breed. I would suggest getting a good female, making her a Ch, and then find a nice stud to breed to happy :) Thats your best luck, if you don't want to waste your breeding.

You need to look for a stud who has good stats & also doesn't have the same low stats as your bitch

For example if your bitch has an 8 then look for a stud who has a higher stat for the same trait

You need also to look at the parents of both dog & bitch

You can use Skipwalls site to look at pedigrees & the stats for lots of dogs

Did you know?
The sit for exam is a modified version of the Stand for Exam. It is generally used in novice level classes and requires the handler to order the dog to sit and then to move away from the dog the length of the leash. The judge will then approach the dog and pet the dog's head.
