My heart broke once again tonight as it does everytime I see a face like these two. Condemmed to a life in kennels because of the stigma and reputation surrounding Rottweilers.
The sad faces belong to Dempsy and Orbit two Rottweilers who have been sadly stuck in kennels for months waiting for a second chance at life. Please pay a visit to their site and read about them and their friends these people do amazing work and deserve all the support we can give! www.freewebs.com/manytearsrescue/ Diane@Silverdyke Sorry for all the edits but I had to get it just right. Permisson was granted to use pictures from the site to promote the dogs. I apologise if this post breaks forum rules I could not find anything under rules stating I could not advertise a worthy cause. |

OMG it makes me sick. The number of times I read on that site "was a breeding dog but is no longer required" and "was used for breeding, and has never lived in a house" also "was meant to be a stud dog, but the breeder's own stud is so good he is not needed". How can people do that to a dog?? |

Aw my god! I love rotties! I wish people would see and understand. Punish the deed, not the breed! |

I wish I could have another dog. I have tried numerous times to rescue a dog, but my bitch is far too fussy. Also, we have found out she has an unpredictable temperament with other dogs. I have tried everything, and she just does not want another dog in our house. I would love a rottie, and I know my boyfriend would too. But, our bitch was a rescue dog, and due to the fact I have a young daughter, she was the only dog they would let me take. all the rotties and even the tiny akita puppies they had had to be rehomed with kids over 10. |

I often walk dogs and the number of perfectly good rotwillers has increased dramatically since the attacks. the website of the home is www.bathcatsanddogshome.org.uk/ (although not all animals are listed) |

If the dog was bred well and is loved attacks like theese wouldn't happen. I walk my golden retrievers and theres an owner of 3 rotties when the dogs are playing everyone avoids us and say loudly I whish they would keep dangerous dogs on their leads! Theese dogs would never hurt anyone they are really big softies I whish people would realise that! AMGR |

One of the nicest dogs I ever knew was a rottie. Ok I admit, she scared the bajeebus out of me when I first saw her (a loose rottie standing in front of you just looking at you? no tail wagging or anything? scary). But she turned out to be one of the nicest dogs. She wasn't ours, just belonged to someone else who let her out and she'd roam around. She came over to our house a lot (literally, the front door would be open and we'd see her little head looking through the window of the storm door all of a sudden). We'd let her in to play and stuff too. When she was outside, she'd rest on our porch like she lived there, even barking at cars or people that walked past lol. The owner knew to come pick her up from our house when she didnt go home (she had tags, so we called the first time). I guess she was lonely though the owner said, because she used ot have a rottie buddy to play with but he died Anyway, long story short, I love rotties. -Jackie |
