Hi i have just started on irish setters and i want to know in your perspection what a good sop finishable irish setter should be!

Post this on your breed forum you will get more response. I would say 97s but more to the middle so like 97.3/97.4 - 98.0

SOPs in the 97.5-97.6 range are still finishable if you buy from a reputable IS breeder who has a solid reputation for good genes. However, 97.7-97.9 are the average SOPs being finished right now. The breed just recently crossed the 98.0 SOP milestone, but there are still relatively few out there.

If you can get a dog 97.7-97.8 you would be considered pretty lucky. 97.9 would be extremely lucky.
