Seriously, though... I'm from New York, but as that State is a large one and has self-made, internal qualifiers such as "up-staters" and "down-staters" and "Long Islanders" (from either Nassau or Suffolk County) and "the City" (New York City - mainly the boro of Manhattan) I guess I should specify that originally I was from "the City" area (Brooklyn) and now am a "Long Islander" from Suffolk County.
