The BBC have now announced they are not going to be showing Crufts coverage. So you either have to go or rely on YouTube!

Aww man, I love Crufts!

Awww what a shame,There was little enough coverage as it was,without not showing it altogether,The coverage of Westminster puts Crufts coverage to shame.Where did you hear this ?

I think the coverige is safe for the next 2 years as the BBC are contracted up to then,after then who knows,it may go to the horse and country channel

That's stupid! Why does the bbc air a program about making pedigree dogs and showing look bad when they air crufts every year which is popular.

Just annoys me, oh well I'm going to crufts for the saturday and sunday just have to watch videos on youtube. Doesn't animal planet air crufts?

My understanding is that the BBC and the Kennel Club signed a three year contract of which 2008 was the first year.
Whatever the rumpus over Pedigree Dogs Exposed, if either party pulls out they will be subject to breach of contract which will incur a severe financial penalty.
My guess is that this is all posturing and Crufts 2009 and 2010 will be safe. By the time Crufts and the Kennel Club are ready to sign for the 2011 Crufts everyone will have forgotten about Pedigree Dogs Exposed.

They will probably still film it then, but not do as good-as job of it as before.
