What is the best way to build SOP with only starters? I have Berners and cannot find any higher SOP zombie/hidden studs. So when looking to improve, do you look at the old SOP or the new SOP? It seems when I go with the higher old SOP I go backwards.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,
If you find starters and want to do TRUE source breeding, be prepared to be at it for years, like I have.

I breed Gen 1 to Gen 1. Keep the best male and females then breed Gen 2 to Gen 2 and so on.

I have never shown any of my sourcies and I have been at it since 2006.

What some do, is breed a source to a champion and go from there. Then you are not breeding source dogs, in my opinion.

I use the present ones.

I haven’t a clue how to see the old SOP numbers.
Not that I would use them I’m just curious.
