It appears we are facing a 6-7 dog entry to gain a major, again.

This happens because SOME people, enter ALL OF THEIR DOGS in a specialty.
This can be up to 20-30 dogs from one kennel. This can make it hard, now, to finished a dog

Please don’t do this.
If you have many dogs to enter, please spread them out into different shows.

Oh man I didn't think about this for specialty shows... I have been spreading out my dogs for all breeds but entering all in specialty. My bad!! I will stop doing that. Hopefully my impact was small since I'm not showing too many right now.

That's part of the game play though. Frustrating yes, but we can't really police how other players play. The point schedule is based off entries to all shows, so spreading it out won't make a difference.

Yup, it’s a game but one can skew things without realizing it.
I am just letting people know what happens when they enter 20+ dogs in one show.

Y'all are getting spoiled. Remember back in the day when it was hard to get a handler in any show, Majors took twice as many dogs.

First, Welcome to being in a breed ranked on top of the popularity list.

Make sure there is atleast a bitch and dog class entry for ALL shows every night. The smaller show entries do bring down the statistics used to calculate the new point scale every month.

Who likes easy champions any way! May the best dog win.

And yeah, it's a game. Gotta out play or out breed and just snatch those big wins up.

Will, I have been here 18 years. We’ve only had high numbers of dogs to make a major a handful of times, in ACS, and that has always been because some people stack the shows with multiple dogs.

This has never happened in the other breeds I have had, only American Cockers.
