In Marvel Rivals, players control iconic superheroes with explosive powers, high-octane movement, and game-changing ultimates. While mechanical skill and hero mastery are important, the most consistent and high-performing players share something deeper: exceptional positioning and game sense. These two concepts—often overlooked by casual players—are what separate good players from great ones.

Let’s break down what positioning and game sense mean in Marvel Rivals, why they’re so critical, and how you can improve them to elevate your play.

What Is Positioning?
Positioning refers to where you place yourself during different phases of the game: during fights, while rotating between objectives, or when anticipating enemy movement. Good positioning means being in a place where you can deal damage or provide utility without exposing yourself to unnecessary risk.

Key Aspects of Good Positioning:
Line of Sight Control
Position behind cover or at angles where you can fire at enemies without being directly exposed. Peek to take shots, then retreat.

Spacing
Don’t bunch up with teammates unless you’re coordinating an ability combo. Spacing reduces the chance of being hit by area-of-effect abilities.

High Ground Advantage
Just like in other team shooters, high ground gives visibility, defensive options, and better projectile arcs. Heroes like Iron Man or Storm excel when placed above the action.

Proximity to Objectives
You need to be close enough to contest or defend objectives, but not so close that you’re the first target in a fight.

Mobility Awareness
Know your escape routes. Position near walls or routes that allow for quick disengagement using your movement abilities.

What Is Game Sense?
Game sense is the ability to read the flow of the match—to predict what your opponents and teammates will do next, to know when to engage or disengage, and to recognize patterns and timings.

Signs of Strong Game Sense:
Predicting Enemy Rotations
Knowing where enemies are likely to move next helps you set up ambushes, rotate defensively, or avoid traps.

Ultimate and Cooldown Tracking
If you saw the enemy Doctor Strange use his ultimate in the last fight, you know there’s a window to engage without fear of crowd control.

Objective Timing
Game sense means preparing for fights before an objective spawns—securing high ground, checking health pack locations, and pre-positioning the team.

I have seen too many horror stories of people getting scammed or having their accounts blocked because of using fake websites. At this point, I would almost always go with MMOEXP because they have been in business for a long time and have a good reputation.

Did you know?
A specialty show is a dog show which reviews a single breed, unlike other dog shows, particularly conformation shows, which are generally referred to as "all-breed" because they are open to all breeds recognized by the sponsoring kennel club.
