this post has been edited 1 time(s) If you complete the third dungeon in Torment, you're sent directly to a new boss arena: Exalted Astaroth’s Lair. Here, Astaroth returns—but this is not the fight you remember.
He splits from his demonic mount, turning into two separate bosses: Astaroth and his Amalgam. The challenge is doubled, as you must kill them in a specific way—defeating the Amalgam first causes it to resurrect unless Astaroth is already dead. This forces players to balance their damage, coordinate their timing, and manage chaos under pressure. The twist? All dungeon affixes from the chain can alter this boss fight. A “Lightning Storm” affix from Dungeon One might now strike during the final battle. Every run is unique. The Rewards of Escalation So why risk it all? Because the rewards match the challenge. Players have a chance to earn: Horadric Jewels, a new item tied to Season 9’s upgrade system. ObduciteObducite, a rare crafting resource. Unique items, legendary loot, and a serious chunk of gold.
