for those of you who speak english (me) was it hard to learn finnish? does anybody mind teaching me the basic words in finnish?

The word "hard" can be defined in many ways by many people. Personally I did not think it was too hard as I had already learned Swedish and Russian which both have similarities to Finnish. Breeding the perfect dog on Showdog is harder than learning languages.  JD |

this post has been edited 1 time(s) Actually Swedish and Russian don't have so many similarities to finnish, only some words that have developed from those two. Ukraine and "eesti" (what ever it is in english) would be propably the closest to our language, because they belong to the same language family. |
