Black Raven Kennels

Welcome to Black Raven Kennels. While I began playing in 2004, this kennel was inherited from a dear friend in 2006 as we worked on Dobermans together. Since then, I have honored our tradition of breeding fine quality Dobermans and have included Collies (which used to be in my Phantasm kennel originally) for a bit. Occasionally you may see an Alaskan Klee Kai since that breed has more issues with cooperating with each other to help improve the breed or each other, than starving jackals and I find it entertaining; but I am proud to announce that I have been provided with beautiful foundation Kelpies from mineiis and a good friend of many breeds, BSG. Special thanks to AussieGold for selling me a beautiful blk/tan boy to help with colors!!!All thanks and credits to these folks as I am technically continuing their lines as a side project. Plus, they match the Dobe color theme.

My first GOLD GCH/Bronze Merit in this game the entire time playing [2004-current] is Phantasm’s Smooth As Silk.

Bronze GcH BRKs Holmgang, silver sire merit, along with Silver GcH BRKs For Whom The Bell Tolls UD are both in my preservation kennel at stud, hoping to keep them alive as long as possible for the breed. I very rarely ever log into that unless one has passed away or to add another extraordinary dog worth preserving for others to use.

Silver Gch/Silver Merit BRKs SHEEN has passed onto the rainbow bridge. He has left a wonderful legacy for our breed. Thank you to everyone who chose to use him at stud! He has produced 34 champions progeny and I do keep direct descendants to continue the line.

My FIRST gold DAM in any breed is my girl GCH BRKs Forgotten Ailment
The Ailment bloodline story is below-great teamwork!

My third Gold/Bronze Merit Alaskan Malamute occurred in my Phantasm kennel. Gold GcH Phantasm’s Sarzerac.

Sarz went on to produce the first 99.70 Alaskan Malamute, PLATINUMGcH Shotput’s Something New. Bred and owned by Shotput, who in turned produced my first 99.70 litter honored with the tradition of the wedding rhyme of something olde, something blue, etc.

Something New:

The Ailment lines began with my dog, Ch. BRKs Autopsy Room 4, being bred to KonaBlechen’s GCH VB Mysterious Black Angel. From there GCH VB Mysterious Ailment was born. Both Silver GCH and Silver sire, this dog went on to produce many progeny that are still seen in the ring and in pedigrees as of current. I am proud to have worked with Kona to create this line. Ultimately, a special line that led to my FIRST gold DAM in ANY breed I've had, GCH BRKs Forgotten Ailment who I retired 1/4/2022, and put in a forever home so she may live on forever. I plan on continuing this line and theme. It’s been a great experience.

The following is a list of all 127 grand champions bred by Black Raven Kennels.

***This was not released back in 2005 as the AKC did not implement it back then.

Zoom will always be my favorite.

If curious as to what other kennels and breeds are owned by BRK (aside from BRKDR (dark river collies) feel free to inquire. I may be involved in the breed(s) being sought.
