While a long time Irish/Gordon Setter owner, breeder with a love for hunting dogs, I decided to try my hand with a shorthaired breed! Grooming is a snap with these guys that's for sure. German Shorthair Pointers are known for thier ability to hunt, are a wonderful companion, and training may take some time but well worth it. One of my earliest junior showmanship wins in RL was with a family friend's Shorthair.
