I am dedicated to the showing and breeding of quality Shetland Sheepdogs and Caucasian Mountain Dogs. All breedings are meticulously planned and executed with priority given to the distribution of the Genetic Quality and Inbreeding Coefficient. All breedings are planned using an adjusted multi-attribute model with special attention given to the weakest traits and/or disqualifications in the respective breeds to ensure they're eliminated. Using this procedure, I hope to produce puppies of value to the show and breeding communities here on SD and make a positive impact on future generations of Shelties and CMDs.
I DO NOT use SOPs as a deciding factor in my breeding plan. Because I believe we are more than just the sum of our parts, SOP isn't used to determine dog quality in my kennel. The SOP of stud dogs and puppies are listed, however, because there are other kennels who DO use this system and I don't want to hinder their evaluation of my dogs. I respect their right to use SOP in their breeding plan and will not discriminate against buyers by not listing the generic SOP.
All puppies sold from this kennel are of show quality and those who are not up to par, are sold to loving families unless they possess special traits. Once they produce that trait in a litter, the dam/sire will then be placed up for sale or Forever Homed.
Last but not least, I respect everyone's right to do what they will with the dogs that they purchase from this kennel. As a breeder, however, I would appreciate the First Right of Refusal should you decide to sell/Forever Home a dog bred by me. Please drop me an email stating so, and I'll gladly buy it back at the price you originally purchased it for.
